Uli Hoeness admits Bayern Munich must participate in the FIFA Club World Cup despite disagreeing with the extension of the tournament.

Bayern Munich chief executive Uli Hoeness has admitted the Bavarians need to participate in the new FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, despite his personal opposition to the plan to increase the number of games, Sky Germany reported on Monday.

While many Bayern Munich executives are excited about being involved with FIFA’s new Club World Cup format next summer, Hoeness is less enthusiastic. The Bavarians have no other options.

‘We have to compete in the Club World Cup because we, as Bayern, cannot do otherwise. The situation in England is getting worse, they are even more competitive. It’s crazy. All this is to spend more money on agents and players. This cannot continue.’

‘We take part in it because we have to’ is not exactly a statement dripping with support, but it is unsurprising. Hoeness was just complaining about the load put on players, so seeing a new version of a tournament created that will put more stress on the players during the summer, which should be their rest time, would not be something he agrees with. Hoeness said.

Despite rumors that the new Club World Cup will ทางเข้า ufabet generate huge profits for participating clubs. With some media outlets claiming that the participating clubs will receive a share of €50-100 million, there are doubts as to whether the compensation will be that high.
